Bolton Clarke Group one of Australia’s largest independent, not-for-profit providers of home care, retirement living and residential aged care, operating nationally and internationally. Bolton Clarke Residential group now has 87 Aged Care Homes across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA, with the inclusion of the Allity, McKenzie & Acacia Living Group.

As part of the Bolton Clarke Research Institute, this role sits within a growing national research function dedicated to generating evidence that improves care outcomes, informs organisational decision-making and supports innovation across aged care, home care and retirement living.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Fellow to provide leadership across a portfolio of applied research, evaluation and implementation projects.

You will lead the design, delivery and translation of research programs that drive meaningful impact across Bolton Clarke and the broader aged care sector.

Key responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of strategic research and evaluation programs aligned to organisational priorities
Oversee multiple research projects and workstreams, ensuring quality, rigour and timely delivery
Translate research findings into practical recommendations that inform policy, practice and service improvement
Build and maintain strong partnerships with academic, clinical, government and industry stakeholders
Lead the preparation of publications, reports, presentations and knowledge translation resources
Contribute to research funding opportunities, grant applications and strategic partnerships
Mentor and support researchers, research officers and emerging research leaders
Communicate complex evidence to clinical, operational and executive audiences
Drive implementation and impact-focused approaches that increase the use of evidence across the organisation
Influence strategic decision-making through expert advice, research insights and evaluation outcomes

About you

You are an accomplished researcher with a passion for translating evidence into meaningful improvements in care delivery and organisational performance. You combine strong research leadership with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and can confidently work across academic, clinical and operational environments.

You will bring:

PhD qualification in a relevant discipline
Significant experience leading applied research, evaluation and implementation programs
Strong expertise in implementation science and evidence translation
Demonstrated success delivering complex research programs that achieve measurable impact
Experience working within health, aged care, community care or related sectors
Strong publication, grant writing and research funding experience
Proven ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups
People leadership experience, including mentoring and capability development
Exceptional written, presentation and communication skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery in a complex environment
