Receptionist Sexual Health and Intimacy Psychological Services (SHIPS) location Melbourne. $25 – $28 per hour.

About Sexual Health and Intimacy Psychological Services (SHIPS) SHIPS is a progressive, inclusive psychology practice with a mission to make a meaningful difference in our community. About the role we are seeking an experienced receptionist, who would like a stable position within our growing, passionate team. Tasks include but are not limited to greeting clients. Attending to and directing phone and email enquiries. Calendar management, including; booking, rescheduling and cancelling appointments. Communicating with SHIPS practitioners and support staff. Taking payments, sending invoices and issuing receipts. Processing Medicare rebates. File management, including record keeping and data entry. General office maintenance and ad hoc administration tasks. You will be working in collaboration with an existing administration team.

Hours 40 hours per week (full-time). 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and/or 11:30 am to 7:30 pm; rotating shifts Monday to Friday. Please only send through an application if you are available to work these hours ongoing.

About you proven ability to manage high-pressure work while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Proven ability to manage exposure to emotionally challenging content and conversations. Demonstrated ability to work with initiative and flexibility. Efficient, organised and highly detail-oriented.

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of ethical conduct in a health setting eg. maintaining confidentiality. Friendly, caring, and professional manner.

Ability to follow a procedure and adapt when necessary. Ability to prioritise between different tasks. Reception/administration experience necessary; experience with reception/administration in health services ideal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
