About Croquet New Zealand Croquet New Zealand (CNZ) is the National Sports Organisation (NSO) charged with the development and promotion of croquet in New Zealand. With 19 Associations, 114 Clubs and over 4,700 players nationwide, croquet is a sport on the rise. With three current staff members, the Chief Executive, the Sport Development Officer and the Inclusion Officer, CNZ relies heavily on volunteers within the sport to assist with meeting our objectives of developing and growing croquet in New Zealand.
About the role the Office Administrator is a newly created role which will support CNZ by managing the day to day operation of the office. The role is part-time working 16 hours a week. The working hours have some flexibility but ideally are worked over four days. Some of the responsibilities include manage the inventory and distribution of equipment, CNZ publications and CNZ Trophies and Badges. Provide administrative support for CNZ tournaments. Maintain and provide support to users of the CNZ Database. Drafting of correspondence. Provide bookkeeping/accounting support.
About you Croquet New Zealand is looking for an individual who enjoys working in a small team and is passionate about the non-profit sports sector.
We're looking for someone who is highly organised with attention to detail while keeping the broader picture in mind. Is proficient with computers & technology. Has some basic accounting knowledge and ideally has some experience with Xero. Is capable of multi-tasking and can manage a range of responsibilities simultaneously in a busy and challenging environment. Has excellent written and verbal communication. Is enthusiastic and self-motivated. Term the successful candidate will be employed on a permanent part-time basis. Location the role will be based at the CNZ office in Central Wellington.
