A bit about what we’re looking for due to this growth as well as future opportunities, we are seeking an experienced and energetic financial controller that can come in and manage the day to financial aspects of the business as well as guide and direct the directors and senior management into the future. Due to the establishment of a new business unit, you will ideally have experience managing multiple entities, especially where there is significant cross over between the two. With the potential to upgrade accounting and CRM systems, ideally, you will have had experience in managing and working through similar projects and can bring this experience to our team. The candidate will work closely with our Managing Director and General Manager/ Sales Director and will need to possess the ability to work efficiently, independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while managing numerous tasks and projects at one time. Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the end-to-end, day-to-day financial and accounting activities for the organisation, including daily cash flow management, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, customer claims and rebates, payments and reconciliations, developing and maintaining integrated and accountable finance, accounting, administrative policies and procedures as required through evaluation, collaboration, staff training and quality improvement, processing of scheduled wages and payg as well as superannuation, completing recs, manage monthly cash-flow and operating forecasts, while managing and utilising various accounts and banking facilities and services to optimise the company’s financial position, co ordinating, preparing and monitoring budget process for internal and external analysis, providing reports, commentary and clear forecasts for senior management, monitoring, managing, developing and implementing it systems and software applications to meet organisational requirements, overseeing potential software changes and upgrades to finance systems and other applications used by the company, based in cheltenham in Melbourne’s south east, the ideal candidate will be able to and willing to perform all levels of the finance function and bring an exceptional level of organisational and attention to detail skills. With a proven track record in a similar role/s, your commitment to best practices and driving efficiencies will see you meet and exceed the company’s expectations. The ideal candidate will not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes. The ability to manage workflow and timeline expectations is critical as is solid written and verbal communication. The successful applicant will need cpa or ca qualified, experience and passionate senior finance leader, 5+ years’ experience managing the financial operations of an sme with revenue exceeding $10m, excellent attention to detail, expert ms office skills, initiative and ability to problem solve, the ability to work autonomously managing all facets of the finance function, efficient time management and experience prioritising multiple tasks, knowledge and experience working with harmony erp valuable but not essential, above all else, you will be commercial in your thinking and allocation of your time.
