We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Accountant, ready to join our finance team on a part-time basis with the potential to transition to full-time, depending on mutual fit and our evolving business needs. About the role as an Assistant Accountant reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will be embarking on a career filled with success and development. Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities including accounts payable, financial reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and assisting in the production of financial reports. You will be part of a young, proactive team, gaining invaluable experience and mentorship from senior finance professionals.

Key Duties and responsibilities oversee and maintain all aspects of COGS and OPEX. Manage contracts and subscriptions, ensuring timely renewals. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations for all accounts and corporate cards. Participate in budgeting and cash flow forecasting across multiple regions. Ensure timely month-end processing and accurate financial reporting.

Liaise with financial institutions for treasury management. Support payroll processing and statutory tax filings. Assist with audit preparations and compliance activities. Maintain and update the internal policies as necessary. Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as required. A strong team player with a proactive, problem-solving attitude, keen eye for detail, and robust analytical skills.

What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting and proven experience (1+ years) in a similar role, ideally within a dynamic, high-growth environment or the Payment Card Industry. Pursuing CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification. Strong Excel skills with exceptional experience with MS Power BI preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly MYOB Advanced (desirable). Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Additional requirements must be in Australia with work rights, an Australian citizen, or a permanent resident. Clear criminal records, as required by payment industry standards for PCI compliance.
