About the role
We’re seeking a Manager, HCS Claiming and Billing to lead the finance and administrative functions supporting our Home and Community Support businesses across Australia.
Reporting to the Manager, Transaction Services, you’ll provide operational and people leadership across end-to-end HCS claiming and billing activity, from admission through to departure, ensuring processes are accurate, timely, compliant and aligned to operational and government deadlines.
Working closely with operations, finance, treasury and audit stakeholders, you’ll lead the team through change including system upgrades, process centralisation and government program reforms, while driving standardised procedures, process improvement and revenue maximisation opportunities.
This role is ideal for an experienced people leader with strong claiming, billing, transaction services or operational finance experience who is confident leading teams through complex systems, high-volume workflows and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop the HCS Claiming and Billing team through transition, system upgrades, process centralisation and government program reforms
Oversee monthly funding and claims processes, including lodgements, reconciliations and reporting deadlines
Drive process improvement by identifying pain points, completing root cause analysis and implementing standardised procedures
Partner with senior operational leaders, finance, treasury and audit teams to improve efficiency, controls and service outcomes
Support accurate billing, receipting, funding maximisation and resolution of outstanding bank reconciliation items
Act as a subject matter expert for HCS claiming and billing, including support for system upgrades and business enquiries
Ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of finance systems, processes and operational deliverables
About You
Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent is desirable
Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and developing a team
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills at a leadership level
Experience developing processes and implementing improvement initiatives in complex operational environments
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with complex business systems
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capability and ability to meet operational and government deadlines
Experience in claiming, billing, reconciliations, transactional finance or service delivery environments will be highly regarded
