Administrator Marine Pollution Response Services Maritime New Zealand location Auckland.

At Maritime New Zealand, we're the national regulatory, compliance and response agency that looks after the safety, security and environmental protection of coastal and inland waterways. This is an Auckland based position reporting to the Manager MPRS (Marine Pollution Response Service).
As Administrator your roe is to support the Maritime team responsible for the strategic, intelligence and planning functions for maritime incident readiness and response, in particular for marine oil spill readiness and response for marine oil spills.
About the role no day will be the same for the administrator, with your abundance of energy and drive you will be taking complete ownership of team administration duties. You'll need to be a great communicator, be able to work independently and use your initiative. You will need to be comfortable working on a range of tasks and be prepared to learn new systems, processes and policies specific to Maritime NZ.
You will have great attention to detail and with a natural solutions focused attitude. You will also bring strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence to pick up new systems and databases. Previous experience working as a team administrator in a busy role. Previous experience updating internal and/or external websites would be great
. Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. Strong customer service focus with a 'can do' attitude. Ability to self-direct, take the initiative and plan your own workload without supervision. Ability to be flexible and adaptable and stay calm under pressure. Assisting with financial accounts, travel bookings and general admin support across the team when required.
