Micron21 is seeking a Trainee Data Centre Customer Support Agent. Someone passionate about joining Micron21 with a love for the internet and everything it encompasses. This role has access to a broad range of leading-edge software and hardware technologies that will ensure your skills and knowledge are grown within industry standards in a professional and nurturing environment. Your new role micron21 is known for providing the highest quality customer service in the industry. You will use your wizardry skills as an instrumental part of the Data Centre Customer Support team. You will be the primary point of contact, providing initial technical support as required. You are excited about ongoing training and self-improvement. Where this role takes you within Micron21, is completely up to you! Previous web hosting experience would be a huge advantage. Your key responsibilities providing customer support via telephone and support queue, clarifying customer requirements and establishing priority, managing support requests, using analytical and problem-solving skills to make decisions, escalating to senior data centre customer support members for requests that require specialist attention, providing remote hands access within our data centre, developing and maintaining a professional relationship with our customers. Our requirements good telephone and communication skills, reliable, responsible and respectful, great problem-solving capabilities, a team player, keen to learn from others, focused on serving our customers, current driver’s licence and own/reliable vehicle, ideally, you’ll live within 20km of the micron21 data centre (we are located in kilsyth south, 3137). Your existing skills familiar with a variety of operating systems (windows and linux), you have a general understanding of dns, you’ve experienced working with computer or server hardware (replacing a hdd, ram, a cpu etc), knowledgeable in email client configuration and also understanding how email works, able to work towards a common goal and achieve results. Bonus points exposure to virtualisation software, exposure to cloud web hosting control panels such as cpanel/whm or plesk.
