The Test Lead is responsible for ensuring that the testing scope, schedule and quality of releases and patches are delivered to the agreed contractual services. This includes a focus on test deliverables adherence to standards and managing test requirements and interdependencies.

Key responsibilities manages testing activities for all changes to the Application. Coordinate a small team, as required, for test activities. Guide and mentor team members on test planning, test script creation, test execution, test documentation and defect reporting across releases and patches.

Report status, including risks and issues, to the Development Lead / Patch Lead. Manage client expectations around test timeframes and scope. Build strong and collaborative client relationships. Measure and monitor progress on all test activities to ensure releases and patches are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations.

Assist in resolving test issues that affect project scope, quality, schedule, budget, and resources. Planning and Estimating - Participate in the planning of test activities for Releases and Patches and Build realistic effort estimates for work assigned.

Design and Build - Work with representatives/other leads to define test requirements; Build comprehensive and appropriate test cases and scenarios; Update and keep current test scripts, including the automated test suite.

Test - Responsible for the overall execution of system tests and compliance with test procedures; Facilitate UAT activities and ownership of test defect reporting. Transition – Provide service transition activities such as knowledge transition for work assigned. Continuous Improvement - Identify and facilitate the introduction of process improvements for test activities.

Team Contribution - Responsibility for the team’s quality of deliverables and complies with specifications, requirements, standards and procedures particularly; Provide timely and relevant performance feedback and mentoring to the team members.

Here’s what you need experience in testing (testing unit/integration/end to end). Knowledge in software development lifecycle. Analytical and programming skills. Proficiency in verbal and written communication. Australian citizenship and must not hold current US citizenship or a US Green Card. Willingness to report onsite in Canberra or in Laverton, Melbourne.

Security Clearance Requirement Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance or are eligible for obtaining security clearance. This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.

On-call and Shift Expectations: This position is primarily focused on managed services, meaning you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our clients' IT systems (Applications and Infrastructure). Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you may be required to work in shifts to provide continuous support.

Additionally, you may need to be on call to address incidents promptly and perform after-hours deployment activities as needed. Your ability to effectively manage these responsibilities will be crucial to ensuring the seamless operation of our services and client satisfaction.
