About Student and Scholarly services student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

About the role as part of the Onshore Student Recruitment team, the incumbent has specific responsibility for recruiting onshore undergraduate students working in the team to coordinate a range of on and off campus events, marketing campaigns and recruitment activities within specific portfolios.

The position is specifically responsible for organising a range of university wide programs including the Recruitment team’s participation in the University’s Open Day, overseeing the on and off campus school visits program and contributing to the annual VTAC Change of Preference period.

The incumbent will also manage the team’s participation at major external expos and coordinate our student ambassador program. In representing the University externally at recruitment events, the role involves travel within regional Victoria and interstate.

Responsibilities include support the development and implementation of recruitment plans for key cohorts and undertake ongoing review and monitoring against plan to meet KPI’s. Participate in the Future Students Hub’s contribution to Open Day, major external future student expos and VTAC Change of Preference period activities.

Oversee the annual Onshore Recruitment student ambassador program of casual staff. Represent the University at recruitment events in Victoria and interstate when required.

Utilise a range of digital technologies including the University’s OneCRM, work with Recruitment Communications and Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and monitor responses from campaigns to improve effectiveness.

Coordinate and manage student recruitment events of various sizes with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Manage prospects and channel engagement plan for region(s) to ensure conversion from enquiry to commencement.

Actively build and maintain strong effective relationships with stakeholders in given regions, attend network meetings when possible and provide timely response to enquiries.

Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in Onshore and Offshore Recruitment teams, Marketing and Communications, the wider Student and Scholarly Services team, Divisional Groups and Chancellery.

As a team, all members are expected to support activities across Onshore Recruitment where uneven workloads are occurring. Ensure compliance in line with requirements under the University’s risk management framework including OH&S, legislation, statutes, regulations and policies.

About you to be successful in this role, you will have advanced planning and organisational skills, with a strong interest in working and engaging with young individuals from all diverse communities. You will be highly passionate and will strive to deliver excellent services and providing support to our future students and key stakeholders.

You will consistently complete assigned tasks positively and professionally in order to meet with strict deadlines for the university. You will also have the appointee will have: Completion of a degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Proven experience and success in student recruitment and collaborating with a range of different areas to develop and deliver campaigns and activities that support recruitment objectives. Excellent written and oral communication skills including experience in presenting to large groups to effectively influence and inspire a range of cultures.

Experience in internal and external stakeholder management in a multi-layered organisation and an ability to influence decision making. Experience at utilising CRMs and digital strategies for student recruitment.

High level planning, problem solving and organisational skills and an ability to co-ordinate complex events, competing deadlines and manage programs from inception to delivery. Knowledge of the Australian higher education sector and interest in working with the secondary school community.
