About the role the Student Experience Officer will provide administrative and project support for a suite of initiatives that exist on and offline to drive belonging and employability outcomes for students and to contribute to an inspired and positive student experience.

The role requires the incumbent to provide high level support to the Student Experience Coordinators in the design, development, and execution of programs in a busy and fast-paced working environment, with students at the heart.

The Student Experience Officer will contribute to highly visible, high impact and high-quality programs that deliver on team and Faculty objectives. They will also proactively contribute to the cohesion and effective function of the team, while ensuring there is good communication and coordination of activities. This will require working cross-functionally with the Communications, Student Life, Partnerships, Experiential Learning and the Academic Program teams on integrated program delivery.

Responsibilities include contribute to the delivery of Student Experience Programs with the Student Experience Coordinators under the direction of the Student Experience Manager, adopting project and process management principals established by the team and integrating both on and offline delivery methods.

Coordinate specific short-term, repeated programs or events, which may include the coordination of student clubs and societies and not-for-credit programs. Provide high level administrative support and budget tracking across team deliverables such as event support, program support and web page updates.

About you you have a strong commitment to improving student, client, and customer experiences, with a focus on connection, belonging, and well-being, with an eye to continuous improvement. Your experience in end-to-end event and program delivery, using both on and offline platforms, to deliver content and experience will serve you well in this role.

You will need a technical competence in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, as well as productive tools and virtual event platforms and programs. Ideally you will have experience supporting programs that integrate both on and offline experiences, and a proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud for basic video editing and desktop publishing, though this is not essential for to apply.

You will also have a degree qualification or the equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Well-developed organisational, project support and administrative skills including the ability to track budgets, prioritise workloads, problem solve, and manage competing deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, professional and academic staff, and external stakeholders. To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check.
