We have an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Team on a maximum term full-time basis (12 months). Reporting to the Payroll Lead, this role will be instrumental in supporting payroll processing for the fortnightly pay-run utilising Kronos & Chris21.
The role will interpret aged care EBA’s and awards, process manual timesheets and be proactive in learning new systems as Ichris and workday.
Key Responsibilities include:
Maintain employee payroll records in compliance with relevant Acts, Awards, Enterprise Agreements or Contracts.
Calculating and applying pay adjustments such as allowances, leave, overtime, penalty rates, higher duties, deductions and increments.
Perform manual integrations across systems.
Perform manual calculations inclusive of ETP’s and Redundancies.
Organising set up for payment to super funds inclusive of self- managed.
Knowledge of recovery process for overpayments and YTD adjustments.
Produce and provide reports as required.
Understand and be abreast of changes to employee entitlements, government initiatives and taxation, superannuation and employment legislation as it applies to payroll.
Respond to a broad range of payroll queries and requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure pay advice and record keeping is maintained and issued in accordance with requirements under the Fair Work Act.
About You:
You have 2-3 years demonstrated payroll processing experience in small or large organisations with strong experience in interpreting EBA’s and awards in an in-house Payroll setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you enjoy continuous learning opportunities and willing to learn new system(s).
You have strong attention to detail with experience working to tight deadlines while delivering excellent customer service to your internal customers.
Experience in time and attendance UKG is ideal with experience in manual timesheets.
IChris & Chris21 Intermediate experience with EXCEL will be beneficial.
You might also hold a Certificate IV in Payroll Processing.
This is a hybrid flexible position with set days in the office to enable effective payroll processing and team collaboration.
