As West Auckland’s leading law firm, Smith and Partners is a well-established mid-size general practice with 35+ staff. Due to rapid growth, we are seeking to employ an experienced Legal Executive.

The role will provide you with a steady flow of interesting and challenging work primarily in residential property – including conveyancing, building contracts and refinancing. The role has also scope for estate planning work including family trusts, wills and enduring powers of attorney, along with commercial property if these are your interests.

You’ll be developing long term relationships with clients and working within a busy, dynamic and collaborative team of high achievers dedicated to excellence and client service. As the successful applicant, you will be part of a thriving and rapidly growing practice which embraces modern thinking and continuous improvement. Tech savvy, you’ll be working with advanced legal systems and technology in modern offices to provide client focused service. We use InfinityLaw, along with Maestro for conveyancing, NomosOne for commercial leasing and ConnectWorks for Trusts.

As a successful applicant you will have a legal executive qualification. 5+ Years NZ based experience in property law. Experience with AML requirements and conducting due diligence. Experience running your own property files from start to finish. A passion for client service and be good under pressure. A collaborative approach and enjoy working as part of a team.

An advocate for continuous improvement in systems and technology. A positive, ‘can do’ attitude and a sense of humour. Enjoy working in a fast paced but highly supportive environment. Excellent organisation and file management. Experience with Infinity Law and/or Maestro not essential but would be a bonus. About Smith and Partners.
