This is an exciting opportunity to deliver client-driven outcomes across a variety of estate matters with autonomy, while collaborating with the wider team across a variety of property, commercial, relationship property, agri, and private trust matters.

About the opportunity this role requires an experienced legal executive with a robust understanding of estate matters. You will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel and support to our clients and facilitating difficult conversations around estate planning, including wills, EPOAs, administering applications for probate, asset protection, and family trust formation, including basic taxation advice. You will be encouraged to bring your full existing suite of experience to the firm, with the support and mentorship of senior lawyers to expand your practice into more complex files.

This will include, but isn't limited to provide expert legal advice on matters related to estate planning and management, including estate administration. Draft and review various legal documents, including the preparation of wills, EPOAs, applications for probate, and trustee agreements.

End-to-end management of estate administration, including working closely with senior authors on estate and relationship disputes. Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide tailored advice.

Directly liaise with clients and key stakeholder, including banks, accountants, financial providers, trustees, and opposing parties. Support colleagues as required across property, trust or commercial transactions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through compassion and professionalism.

About you as an experienced Legal Executive, you will ideally have 2 + years of experience operating in a fast-paced and client-facing private practice environment with a heavy emphasis on private client files and passion for estate planning and administration.

You will be an exceptional communicator who operates with professionalism, compassion, and empathy, but also pride yourself on your exceptionally organised and detail-oriented approach to working, providing a seamless and consultative experience for clients during these difficult conversations.

Additionally, you will have a clear desire to be a part of a friendly, down-to-earth and high-performing team and have a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
