About the role the IT Support Officer delivers and supports IT services for users, involving the diagnosis and resolution of incidents and deployment of the department’s standardised infrastructure, hardware and systems.

Key responsibilities deliver 1st Level IT support to end-users of websites and custom applications. Educate and guide employees in the proper utilization of application systems, software, and tools. Diagnose and resolve technical support requests and tickets in accordance with the business unit's incident management process and SLAs.

Assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, including IT and mobile device setup. Create checklists, procedures, and knowledge base articles. Participate in necessary IT projects.

Execute the installation of new software applications, including testing and monitoring of computer hardware and software. Configure hardware and software and conduct updates as needed. Oversee and maintain software telephony systems for the business unit.

About you ICT/IT tertiary qualification.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT helpdesk support. Good knowledge of Microsoft products including MS Office and Teams. Basic knowledge of Atlassian suite: Service Desk Management, Jira, and Confluence. Basic knowledge of web technologies and common CMS solutions. Experience with remote support and virtual desktop environments (Azure Virtual Desktop). Exposure to software telephony/IVR systems.
