About the role the safe storage and management of property and exhibits is a vital part of New Zealand Police providing a world class service, and that the trust and confidence of Police is maintained and improved.

As a File Management Support Officer (Exhibits) you will be working with a motivated and enthusiastic team of people in the Counties Manukau Property and Exhibits Store supporting our front-line Police staff on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for receiving, safely storing, and managing property and exhibits that are in Police care.

This includes items that will be used in prosecutions, found property, and items that are being cared for on behalf of our partner agencies.

Key accountabilities attention to detail - the chain of custody of the items in our care is a key function of the role and you must be accurate, especially when under pressure. Teamwork - you must be able to work with a close team on collective challenges. However, at times you will be required to work independently.

Relationship management - you will work with a number of work groups within Police, so being able to manage these relationships is vital. What you'll bring being part of the Police whānau is about being our best to ensure our communities are safe and feel safe.

Show good level of computer literacy. Comfortable typing and navigating a computer database and programs. Working well in a team environment and will be able to ask questions and take direction. Good work ethic means you can be relied on to remain on task.

Special requirements to apply for this role you must be a NZ or Australian Citizen or NZ permanent resident. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a full reference and security check prior to any offer of employment being made. The successful applicant will be required to work from the Counties Manukau District Headquarters.
