In this full-time permanent position, you’ll work within a case management framework in an outreach role, providing support to individuals who are experiencing domestic, family or sexual violence to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. You’ll work as part of our Domestic and Family Violence Support team based in Mt Isa with the ideal candidate able to work flexible hours. Currently the service is provided until 10pm x 7 days a week.
You will make a difference by:
Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships for favourable client outcomes
Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard
Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progress towards these goals
Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development

You deep expertise supporting families within a child centred, strengths-based framework will be invaluable. You’re passionate about and demonstrate a strong understanding of the impact of trauma on children and their families and keenly aware of the additional impacts and barriers experienced by Indigenous families.
This role requires:
Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation
Demonstrated experience working with, and understanding of, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families
Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in the domestic and family violence sector
