Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Network Operations Manager to join us on our growth journey. Your primary responsibility will be managing the overall performance of the Operational network and positioning it for significant growth for our Regional Express Division.

Position is Permanent Full Time, Altona location.

The role

Strong Stakeholder engagement and commitment is paramount to the success of this role.

Responsible and accountable for a profitable and productive performance of the operations network
Deliver operational excellence across all aspects of the portfolio
Efficiently and effectively organise the operations to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction
Lead and manage a diverse team (including casuals and subcontractors)
Full P& L accountability
Safety leadership and contract management
Define the fleet and asset requirements for the operational need
Identify and address operational challenges in a timely fashion
Meeting customer service requirements (including call center operations)
About You

High level commitment towards customer engagement and retention
An accomplished and enthusiastic leader within the LTL space with a detailed and profound knowledge of supply chain operations and the key drivers for its success
Tertiary qualification in related discipline, or an equivalent level of practical experience
Proven Senior Manager experience, gathered with a mid to top tier 3PL provider of transport, and / or distribution services with a focus on LTL specific skills including the operation of Track and Trace, on-line visibility, and sign on glass systems
Experience in building and developing a multi-depot freight network including sub-contractors
Strong pallet management and control experience
Demonstrated experience in customer relationship/account management
Experience in contract management
Proven commercial acumen
Experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to build and motivate a high performing team
Providing supportive team environment
