APS3 Administrative Support Officer DFP Recruitment Brisbane. $38.90 per hour.

Our client a Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Administrator to undertake a support role in their legal team at the APS3 level for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities in this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following case Administration activities – creation and administration of case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, meeting administration, records management (including archiving). Witness Coordination – drafting summons/subpoenas, liaison (e.g. providing updates), arranging travel and other related tasks.

Case Preparation – preparing materials, lodging/filing documentation, conducting basic research activities, video conferencing and arranging interpreters and translators. Case Liaison – liaising with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts and counsel. Building rapport and maintaining internal and external relationships.

Responding to enquiries and providing accurate advice in a timely manner. Adapting communication (both verbal and written) to suit the identified audience. Identifying and escalating issues to senior staff members Undertaking appropriate learning and development activities as required.

Ability to respond flexibly and positively to work changes and shifting priorities. Good time management skills. Good collaboration skills – within team and internal and external stakeholders. Sound application of judgement, initiative and drive. Sound communication skills.

Effective communication and the ability to build positive working relationships with relevant stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role. You will need to be flexible to work changes and shifting priorities and have the ability to identify any issues that could impact on designated tasks.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential; as is your ability to use your initiative in prioritising your work to ensure objectives are met.
