The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated and trade-qualified Workshop Fitter to join our afternoon shift team based in Wacol, Brisbane.

Working within our Reman workshop, you will be responsible for the overhaul, assembly, maintenance and repair of major components to OEM standards. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills within a supportive team environment while working on a wide range of Hitachi and associated equipment components.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing major component rebuilds and overhauls on a wide range of machinery components
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs in accordance with OEM standards
Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Accurately completing service reports and associated documentation
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with 5S principles
Working collaboratively with the broader Remanufacturing team to achieve production targets
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally:

Hold a relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification
Have strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
Be committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Demonstrate a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Hold a Forklift Licence, Dogging Ticket, Working at Heights or other High-Risk Work Licences (highly regarded)
Have previous experience working on heavy earthmoving, mining or construction equipment (advantageous)
