About the role people and Capability aim to ensure our people are safe, enabled and empowered to deliver Our Business. As a Workforce Coordinator, you'll work with a high performing Workforce Management team. Your role will involve supporting the Tamaki Makaurau WFM staff to deploy our frontline workforce.

You'll enjoy the variety involved in learning about the different tasks, and in building relationships with staff & the District Leadership Teams as well as WFM staff all over the country. Our team is responsible for ensuring the optimum deployment of staff in the Region by ensuring staff are rostered when & where required, leave & training are managed, and sick & injured staff are assisted to quickly return to full duties.

Within your role you will undertake rostering, manage roster patterns and scheduling. Schedule training to maximise deployable staff, to ensure our people and communities feel safe and are safe. Ensure rosters are suitable to meet forecasted/expected demand. Manage the roster by ensuring all relevant parties are advised of changes in a timely manner.

Identify factors that may affect workload and associated impact on service levels. Ownership of time critical tasks. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, ideally with a background in Workforce Management (experience with Kronos, SAP and MyPolice systems would be an advantage). You will need to be able to multi-task, work well under pressure and be able to complete all work with accuracy. The ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with excellent verbal and written communication skills is also essential.

Special requirements to apply for this role, you must be a NZ or Australian Citizen or NZ permanent resident. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a full reference and security check prior to any offer of employment being made. The successful applicant will work from the Police Station at 482 Great South Rd Otahuhu. This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is "to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business".
