Work Broker - Regional Seasonal Coordinator - Kerikeri, Northland. Full Time, Fixed Term / Secondment (01 July 2024 - 30 June 2025). Location Kerikeri, Northland.

What you'll be doing as a Reginal Seasonal Coordinator - Work Broker, you’ll engage and grow strong relationships with employers and clients within your community to provide a professional service to link MSD job seekers with seasonal job opportunities. You will use influence and networks to seek out current and future employment opportunities from employers in primary industries.

This will involve cold calling, the use of technology and networking to bring in great opportunities for our job seekers. You will also be able to profile job seekers to employers and build long term professional relationships that go from strength to strength. You’ll work alongside Case Managers and other Service Centre colleagues to ensure sustainable employment outcomes are achieved.

This role takes a lead in engaging with horticulture, agriculture, viticulture and other industries to support engagement and recruitment of our clients into seasonal and permanent opportunities, sourcing clients for recruitment and training programmes, and other labour market activity as required. You will have a passion to help people from a diverse background and you’ll have the wellbeing of Northland's people at heart, and totally immersed within the community.

Key duties and responsibilities work with employers to establish and promote vacancies, complete recruitment process and support induction. Educate employers on details of our Products and Services. Work alongside colleagues including Work Brokers and Case Managers across the region about seasonal work available in the region.

Provide in work support to clients placed in employment. Ensure that internal systems are kept up to date, recording all interactions with employers and clients which includes spread sheet management. Work with the Labour Market Team to complement Immigration, Skills for Industry and Cadetship work programmes.

Gather seasonal labour market intelligence. Support Connected and Service Centre activity, which may include reporting, spread sheet analysis, outbound calling and texting. What you'll need to succeed our ideal candidate will have proven skills in sourcing and recruiting suitable talent to fulfil employers’ needs. Strong sales and marketing/customer service skills. Excellent communication, relationship building and networking skills. Meeting deadlines and targets.

Understanding seasonal work or relevant industries such as viticulture, agriculture, horticulture, Health Care, Construction, Retail Trade, Manufacturing, Education & Training, etc. is highly advantageous. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. You will have a full and clear driver’s licence and the ability to travel around the Northland region as required are essential.
