Ward Clerk Receptionist North Shore Private Hospital location Sydney. Salary $25 - $35 per hour + Super.

Permanent Part time we are seeking a proactive Ward Clerk to join our team at North Shore Private Hospital.

The opportunity as a Ward Receptionist, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to patients and their families within the unit. You will also assist the clinical teams and medical personnel by coordinating the necessary clerical requirements to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities of this job include managing incoming and outgoing calls to the department. Scheduling, compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes. Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments. Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth rehabilitation experience for patients. Maintaining a tidy office environment at all times to enhance efficiency of staff and ward processes. Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

You will also demonstrate minimum one year’s administration experience with excellent data entry skills. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience with chart filing and chart auditing. Understanding of Health Fund codes. Experience with Meditech is mandatory. Proven organisational skills and a high degree of attention to detail & accuracy. Advanced computer skills using MS Office. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
