About the Role

As a Trades Assistant, your primary focus in this role will be to ensure our range of fleet vehicles are serviced and maintained in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. Additionally, you will provide support to the Service Manager and Mechanics as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturers’ specifications and company standards, including carrying out minor repairs and preventative maintenance checks on fleet vehicles (e.g. replacing fluids, changing oil/air filter, tyres, brakes, ski racks etc.) including cars, trucks and company fleet

Monitor inventory and request order of new parts when necessary with Service Administrator Assemble mechanical components according to specifications

Perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems

Complete Repair Orders

Providing breakdown assistance when necessary

Preparing vehicles for handback and sales.

Testing and general servicing of workshop equipment for safety.

Keeping accurate and on-time job records and recording servicing history in applicable systems

Attend company/manufacturer training as necessary

Working efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplishing organisational goals under limited supervision

Driving vehicles as required.

Other reasonable duties as requested by the Service Manage

Skills & Experience

Previous experience working as a Motor Mechanic
