About this opportunity we are seeking an energetic and organised Student and Academic Administration Assistant to provide a range of student administrative support within the Institute of Modern Languages (IML). This role is the first point of contact for student enquiries and an important part of creating a welcoming student experience within IML.

The role is responsible for a range of administrative tasks associated with enrolment and student academic matters. The position is required to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of friendly, helpful, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff.

Key responsibilities will include customer service. Respond to a diverse range of enquiries via email, web enquiry form, phone or in person from current and prospective students within the University and from the wider community with the appropriate tone of voice.

Administrative maintain the student, tutor and course database, currently WebCAS software. LMS (Learning Management System e.g. Padlet) - Request, populate, update, enrol students and staff. Training and technical support for LMS and video chat software (currently Zoom) for staff and students.

Administrative support for Director and Manager, Academic Programs, e.g. agenda and minutes for team meetings, updates of procedures manual, maintenance of rooms and facilities. Marketing maintain the IML website including monitoring, auditing and creating new content, updating and proofreading.

Any other duties as reasonable directed by your supervisor. This role is subject to The University's Code of Conduct. About you our ideal candidate will have at least completion of a diploma level qualification in an area of relevance and relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with tact and discretion, with a wide range of people both internal and external to the University.

Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in new systems. Experience in using web-based marketing and communication applications; or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.

Previous experience working with languages other than English. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage a range of competing priorities. What we can offer this is a part-time (24hours per week), continuing position at HEW Level 4.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $66,733 - $70,842 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $78,078 - $82,886 per annum. The following flexible employment options may be available for this role: some working from home; variable start or finish times.
