About the opportunity
Join a dynamic and high-performing team at Australia Post as Senior Manager, Safety & Wellbeing within Retail, Brand and Marketing. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead safety and wellbeing initiatives in a business area delivering like never before. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll design and embed strategic programs that uplift safety culture, improve psychological wellbeing, and enable our people to thrive.
What you’ll deliver with us
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you’ll develop and deliver a tailored Safety & Wellbeing Strategy that aligns with business priorities and drives measurable improvement across Retail, Brand and Marketing. You’ll lead diagnostic efforts, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure safety leadership is visible and embedded at every level. Success in this role means reducing safety risk, enhancing wellbeing, and supporting a proactive, people-first culture.
You’ll also
Diagnose safety and wellbeing risks using data, insights, and business engagement
Design and implement custom safety initiatives aligned to Retail and Brand operational needs
Coach and support leaders to build safety leadership capability and behavioural change
Collaborate with Enterprise Safety & Wellbeing and external partners to ensure policies are fit for purpose
Monitor incident trends and ensure consistent investigation and escalation processes are followed
About you
You’re a confident and trusted safety leader who brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to complex challenges. You lead with integrity, communicate clearly, and naturally build strong relationships across all levels. Passionate about creating safe, inclusive workplaces, you coach and influence others while empowering teams to take ownership of their wellbeing. You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing competing priorities with resilience and a collaborative mindset—living out Australia Post’s commitment to care, trust and community.
You’ll also need
Extensive experience in a senior safety role within a large, complex organisation
Strong working knowledge of safety legislation, policies, and industry best practices
Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior leaders to improve safety outcomes
Proven experience diagnosing safety risks and delivering change initiatives at scale
An accredited OH&S qualification (essential); business qualification desirable
