The role reporting into the CFO, the Senior Financial Accountant is a critical permanent critical to the uplifting of group finance capabilities, including financial reporting, tax & compliance, group consolidations, business partnering, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing business & system projects. This is an exceptional career opportunity for a motivated qualified accountant in Brisbane.

Responsibilities will include preparing monthly management financial statements that encompass balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements. Completing consolidation and elimination entries for the group. Preparing year-end statutory accounts and audit committee papers. Managing and maintaining the general ledger, while ensuring adherence to Accounting standards and internal policies.

Proactively identifying new initiatives and improvements that could benefit the organisation. Supporting the timely month-end and year-end close processes. Assisting in the preparation of annual tax returns, as well as liaising with external Auditors and Tax specialists. Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets.

The candidate to be successful in this position, CA or CPA qualifications are required, as well as a strong technical accounting and a proven ability to handle a varied workload. It is also essential that you can engage and influence key stakeholders, as this role will work with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally.
