Safety Officer- Temporary 2 months with possible extension. Flexible location - role can be based in Sydney / Bathurst / Gosford / Tweed Heads. Hybrid working options available and all flexible working arrangements considered including part-time and job-share.

An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a Safety Officer to join the NSW Telco Authority, a rapidly growing part of Digital.NSW within the Department of Customer Service.

The successful candidate will be an experienced individual in the field of WHS and play a key role in identifying and consulting on WHS requirements to enable the effective implementation of our WHS management system and strategy.

The role sits within the Safety Team of Enterprise & Business Operations for the NSW Telcommunications Authority. Opportunities this exciting don't come around often. Don't let this one pass you by.

In this role you will utilising you're strong reporting and communication skills, you will help maintain the WHS management system, while providing advice to relevant stakeholders.

Assist in the collection and analysis of data. This enables the team to provide prompt and appropriate action leading to safety improvements.You will provide WHS support across a portfolio of projects to ensure safe systems of work are implemented.

Bring a sound knowledge of incident investigation and the recovery at work function. Bring your demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills to encourage, develop, and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to positively influencesafety culture. need to keep up to date with all aspects of Work, health & Safety legislation and communicate relevant changes.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate experience in a safety and wellbeing role or within a similar setting. Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or commensurate knowledge, skills and experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of applicable safety legislation, policies, and procedures. Proficiency in using Microsoft office suite and experience using Safety Audit/Inspection Software or simliar. Ability to obtain a construction induction white card.
