Regional Office Administrator Office of the Ombudsman location Auckland.
About the ombudsman the Chief Ombudsman works with his staff to help New Zealanders in their dealings with government agencies. The focus is on handling complaints against government agencies, undertaking investigations and inspections, and encouraging good administration. The Chief Ombudsman is independent and impartial, with the goal of fairness for all.
About the team the Business Services Team provides office administration and logistical support to staff in both Auckland and Wellington offices. About the role the Regional Office Administrator will be based in our Auckland Office and will work collaboratively alongside the current Regional Office Administrator, sharing tasks such as reception duties, on-boarding new staff, security induction, health and safety, facilities and events management, and general administrative support to the office.
This role will also aid projects like accommodation, which will need hands on support to ensure the moves process goes smoothly. There is also an opportunity to bring your tech savvy or upskill on the job around ICT related set up to provide support of this nature in the Office.
About you to be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Sound organisational, planning and prioritising skills. Computer literacy skills - ability to work with a variety of systems and applications, and with Microsoft Office software.
Ability to multi-task effectively, and to effectively prioritise and execute work in a high pressure environment. Ability to use initiative and solve problems when required. Strong customer service ethic, and a ‘can do' attitude.
