Receptionist Rainforest Retreat location West Coast.

We are currently looking for a receptionist to join our awesome team. Experience is preferred but is not essential. If you have a positive and happy attitude, we would love to hear from you.

The Rainforest Retreat is a tourism accommodation provider located in Franz Josef on the West Coast of the South Island. We are a Qualmark gold 5 star rated property and offer a large variety of accommodation, from budget to 5 star luxury treehouses. Our onsite Monsoon bar and restaurant is also very popular with guests and locals alike.

You will be required to have the following excellent customer service skills with a vibrant personality. Be a great team player and most importantly having a positive "lets get the job done" attitude.

Time management skills, social skills and excellent customer service skills are important in our team. We all work hard together to achieve a great environment for guests and staff to enjoy and relax in.

Job description you would be asked to greet and welcome all guests to Rainforest ensuring they get the biggest warmest welcome from you. Explain to the guests at check-in all the facilities and services the Rainforest Retreat has to offer, using the opportunity to upsell other products such as travel activities and the bar & Restaurant.

To be sure that all confirmed and tentative reservations and group bookings have been accommodated for. To answer incoming telephone, e-mails and written reservation requests in a timely manner and use effective selling techniques to ensure bookings.

To be fully knowledgeable with all current room rates, packages and promotions especially during the winter season. To ensure a high standard of personal presentation. Process wholesale FIT and group requests. Gain knowledge of local activities to share and sell to guests.

Check out guests in a friendly manner and ensure that their last impression of the Rainforest Retreat is a great one. You must be willing to work weekends and public holidays. This is a permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week and maximum of 45. Additional hours may be offered during busy periods or as per the business demands.
