Receptionist Cairnfield House location Northland.

Cairnfield House is a privately owned caring Rest Home and Hospital located in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand.  We pride ourselves in delivering excellent quality of care in our comfortable and cozy home for our residents. We are also an accredited employer with Immigration New Zealand. We are looking for an energetic, friendly bubbly person for our Reception. Working in a part time capacity with our friendly team. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm.

This  role would suit someone who has a can-do attitude with compassion towards elderly people. You are the first point of contact for all our residents and their family/friends visiting so you will need to enjoy helping and greeting people with a friendly manner. Having some knowledge around the office environment would be great but is not essential as there will be on the job training available for the right person.

Key responsibilities include general Reception duties and to assist others as needed, Answering & transferring phone calls, Filing / Data entry, Stationery ordering, Taking Minutes for meetings. Tech savvy and comfortable on computers. Great time management and problem solving skills. A great customer focus and a compassionate personality towards elderly people.

To do the job well you will need great command of English language both oral & written. Full driver’s licence. A good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite with the ability to pick up new software quickly. Great organizational skills. Enthusiasm for learning.  Attention to detail with accuracy. Knowledge in Excel. A great flexible, A can-do attitude.

Ideally you will also have the ability to cope under pressure and multitask. Able to work without close supervision. Take ownership of issues and see them through to a resolution.
