The Kindred Practice is a busy family-owned psychology practice supporting children, adolescents, and their families in the Southern Highlands of NSW. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for the families we support and for our team of therapists.
Overview of the role as a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for families who are reaching out for help. You will play an important role in helping them navigate this journey with your warmth, organisation and efficiency, and with an understanding of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. You will also use your excellent interpersonal and time management skills to provide administrative support to our team of clinicians and our practice manager.
Duties include greeting clients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanour. Managing incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling email inquiries. Assisting our team of therapists with administrative tasks such as maintaining client records and billing. Coordinating and managing client appointments, ensuring smooth scheduling and timely reminders. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and waiting room. Maintaining strict client confidentiality.
Role requirements a warm and compassionate approach to interacting with children, families, and professionals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail. Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment. Skilled in using computer systems and able to learn new systems.
High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills. Sensitivity and understanding of the importance of confidentiality in a healthcare setting. Previous experience in a healthcare receptionist role is highly desirable. A genuine interest in mental health and a passion for working with children and families.
Days & hours we are looking for someone to work part-time, either two or three days per week. Applicants must be available to work Monday and Tuesdays. The third day, if applicable, is more flexible. Hours of work will be 8:30am - 5:00pm (with flexibility for the right applicant).
