About the Role:

As a Mental Health Clinician, you’ll join a multidisciplinary youth mental health team supporting young people aged 12–25.

You’ll provide specialist triage, comprehensive psychosocial assessments, care planning and coordination, and evidence-based counselling and therapeutic interventions. You’ll work with young people individually and in groups, develop and deliver group programs, and monitor progress and outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with families, carers, professionals and community services to ensure young people receive the right support at the right time. You’ll also contribute to team meetings, professional consultation and clinical supervision.

Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.

Provision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and/or other evidence-based therapies with young people aged 12-25 who have a mental health disorder.

Relevant experience in the area of youth mental health.

Experience in delivery cognitive behaviour therapy, and other evidence-based interventions for youth mental health difficulties

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold qualifications in one of the following disciplines:

Psychology

Social Work – with Mental Health Accreditation through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

Occupational Therapy – with Mental Health Endorsement recognised by Occupational Therapy Australia

Nursing – must be a Registered Nurse with Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses

Other Requirements:

Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)

Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)

Current Child Safe Environments (Through Their Eyes) Training (or willing to obtain).
