About the role with the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Northern Territory team to work on our various projects based in NT. Reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, the key objective of this role will be to manage the design, procurement and construction functions on designated project work to ensure completion within time, cost, safety and environmental constraints to achieve profit objectives. This role is a full-time Permanent opportunity based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Relocation cost is covered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities assist in the preparation of project estimates and documentation. Monitor performance and re-assess efficiency and quality. Support develop, implement and administer sub-contracts/supplier agreements. Ensure a balance between cost and production to meet project objectives and time constrictions.
Understand daily work program and direct/allocate staff and contractors. Monitor adherence to safe work method statements and undertake risk analysis. Develop and communicate quality documentation, best work practices, standards, and expectations.
Support identifying and addressing issues before they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challenges. Support in timely project delivery within approved budget, monitor, and control project expenditures. Ensure adherence to quality standards of the customers and the company are followed. Manage procurement and purchases of goods and services.
About you to be successful in the role, you will need tertiary engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering. Construction White Card and Current driver’s license. Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance. Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment.
Competency in Project Management software ((e.g., Microsoft Professional Suite, MS Project, Primavera), ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle e-business) and project management platforms (e.g., InEight, Aconex, Procore). Sound understanding of Australian Standards (AS). Experience in Contracts administration and management. Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow management.
