About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a highly capable ILS Project Engineering Manager to lead our Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) capability within the Engineering Department. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering ILS engineering solutions across major sustainment programs, including CCSM In-Service Support, Multi-Class Sustainment, and future naval initiatives.
Reporting to the Program Engineering Manager – Engineering Services, you’ll drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ILS processes, systems, and technical outputs. You’ll also play a key role in building ASC’s ILS engineering capability to meet current and future program demands.
Responsibilities
Lead the ILS capability across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with engineering and sustainment objectives
Establish and manage ILS processes, tools, and systems to support logistic configuration, maintenance, and product baselines
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality ILS outcomes
Participate as a member of the Engineering Services Lead Team, contributing to strategic planning and capability development
Drive improvements in ILS workflows to reduce historical sustainment engineering workloads
Ensure visibility and responsiveness to senior customer representatives and program stakeholders
About You
Hold a relevant engineering qualification (Advanced Diploma, Degree, or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in leading ILS or engineering teams within complex project environments such as shipbuilding, defence, or heavy industry
Strong understanding of sustainment lifecycles, configuration management, and engineering standards
Proven ability to manage technical teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver outcomes in high-visibility environments
Skilled in using Computerised Maintenance Management System and Microsoft Office tools for reporting, analysis, and documentation
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
