About the Role
The Procurement Operations Specialist partners with stakeholders to provide high level advice and guidance to deliver value for money and effectively meet business outcomes and government directions while delivering on operational governance activities associated with Risk activities and Controls management to ensure compliance with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework..

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Procurement Operations Specialist you will:
Partner with staff from across the organisation providing high level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes.
Identify, manage and mitigate procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise business opportunity.
Document procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements fully to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes.
Continually build professional knowledge in procurement, the business and markets to enhance the expert advice and support provided to procurement decision-makers, keeping up to date with procurement legislation and policy and the dynamic nature of markets.
Responsible for ensuring applicable procurement obligations and controls are managed and timely controls testing are undertaken.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications - Tertiary level qualification or above (e.g. bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree) in business, finance or other relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience5+ years relevant experience
Knowledge and application of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework and all mandatory procurement policies
Strong project management experience.
Proven organisational skills and ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
Well-developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills, with strong customer service, problem solving and analytical skills.
