Plating Specialist, Address Tuas, Singapore, Salary $1200 - $2200 + $allowances, Working Day 5.5 days, Working Hours 8am-5pm / 8am-12pm.

Job duties read and understand drawings to identify the plating requirements, location. Fabricate fixtures, jigs and tooling as per the drawing/ part requirements. Perform simple welding, bending and sheet metal work.  Perform cleaning, degreasing on tools/ material/ parts.

Perform masking, vapour honing and bead blasting on tools/ material/ parts.  Perform chroming setup and chrome plating.  Perform removal of masking, cleaning and preservation of chrome plated tools/ material/ parts.  Ensure that all processes are recorded and documented.

Perform plating thickness measurement. Report any defects or issues to the Supervisor/ Planner.  Ensure that degreasing and plating tanks are properly maintained as per work instructions. Top up chemicals, honing and blasting mediums and carry out required daily maintenance as per check lists on tanks and equipment. Ensure cleanliness of work place and liaise with

Supply Chain department for chrome waste disposal in accordance with company’s safety protocols. Perform chemical and material handling when required. Take care of all equipment and issued tooling accessories and items. Understand and be aware of the impact of each activity to the company, its environment and minimize any detrimental results. Follow safe work practices and procedures. Ensure company and QHSE policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Participate/ attend all functions, activities and meeting organized by the company. Perform other assignment and duties as and when required.

Accountabilities ensure on time delivery of finished product. Minimize rework and rejection rate. Work with the team to achieve QHSE objectives. Handle chemicals safely and with care. Maintain good housekeeping at all times. Report all unsafe acts, infrastructure and environment to his Supervisor and Manager. Ensure all jobs are properly handed over if required.

Qualifications/experiences NTC certificate or equivalent in fabrication/ tooling and/or 3 years related working experiences in an electro-plating industry. Working experience in an electro-plating company is an advantage.
