About the Role

Our BDO Brisbane office is seeking an experienced P&C Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. You will be responsible for looking after the Audit service line and deliver effective people strategies and programs to achieve BDO’s people goals across the full employee life cycle. This is more than just an operationally focused People & Culture role; we are seeking an individual who has experience and an interest in strategic development and growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support stakeholders in the development and delivery of talent strategies

Lead the delivery of HR projects, solutions and services that deliver business outcomes, build capability, and improve performance

Contribute to supporting a safe, positive workplace culture base on shared values and common goals

Manage and advise senior leaders on all people matters that arise within your client group including employee relations, performance, remuneration, engagement, inclusion and diversity, talent management, wellbeing and turnover identifying and minimising any risks

Provide specialist advice, guidance, and support on a range of organisational change projects

Build and maintain strategic working relationships within client groups and key stakeholders to understand and anticipate business needs and priorities

Using experience and knowledge of current trends and best practice standards educate and support others with the ability to positively influence stakeholder decisions

Guide, coach, and support managers in the consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and tools

 

About You

Tertiary qualifications in HR, change management or in a related discipline would be highly regarded but not essential

Prior experience in a business partnering role

Experience in developing business strategies

Knowledge and practical experience in Change Management activities

Exposure or experience using a talent management methodology

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders

Knowledge and understanding of employment-related laws, employee relations and risk management issues ideally within professional services

An understanding of contemporary and emerging people issues and practices
