Payroll Officer Appreciating Recruitment Group location Sydney. $55.00 + Super Per Hour.

The role provide payroll and entitlements services to employees in accordance with conditions of employment, enterprise award and associated policies and procedures. Calculate, process, examine and verify all payroll source documentation and validation of associated payroll reports. Verify and process appointments; calculate, process and check employee termination payments.

Deliver timely and accurate payment of employee salaries. Provide assistance with interpretation of the legislation, agreements, policies and procedures to managers and employees. Ensure employee records and entitlements are accurate and up to date. Assist and/or review employee annual, long service, sick, family, study, personal, community and parental leave applications where required, to ensure all payroll leave transactions are compliant.

Ensure the conditions of employment, and all related payroll policies and procedures are adhered to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of employee information is maintained at all times. Ensure accurate taxation deductions from employee salaries are made and paid to ATO within required legislative timeframes. Ensure accurate superannuation payments are deducted from employee’s salaries and are paid to the Superannuation clearing house within required legislative timeframes.

Ensure salary packaging is maintained in accordance with conditions of employment, Salary Sacrifice guidelines and relevant legislation. Assist with annual reconciliations for salary packaging deductions. Ensure the timely submission of STP payments are made following each payment run.

All work is carried out in compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures and local Safety and Environmental Plans. Contributions relevant to the responsibilities of the position are made as required. Safety and environmental assessments are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Knowledge and experience in payroll and entitlement functions to perform the duties of the position. Knowledge and experience with SAP/SuccessFactors. Relevant knowledge of legislation, and familiarisation of Conditions of Employment, policies and procedures relating to payroll. Ability to work independently and remotely, be highly organized and self-motivated.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable engagement with people at all levels to understand requirements and achieve business outcomes. Demonstrated ability to identify problems, research and analyse data to identify causes and develop sound solutions. Ability to effectively inform, influence, resolve conflict and negotiate with employees at all levels. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and SharePoint).
