About The Role – Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer – Assistant Accountant. Due to recent growth we are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Payable and Payroll Officer. Our new Assistant Accountant will join our Group corporate team in Sydney and the position will report to the General Manager of Finance.

Their duties will include (but are not limited to) end to end management of Accounts Payable including setting up new suppliers, seek invoice approvals and generating weekly/ monthly payments. Process weekly employee expense claims.

Assist with monthly payroll for Australian entities. Monthly bank, credit card and payroll reconciliations. Support month and year end procedures. Contributing to process improvements within the finance department. Providing support for ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

About you tertiary qualification in an accounting degree is essential. Minimum 2+ years in a similar role, with experience in both payroll and Accounts Payable. Professional and fun manner, confident, with a positive and happy outlook. Reliable and flexible.

Excellent attention to detail. A proactive, collaborative mindset and demonstrated capacity to work independently and within a team environment. Excellent communication skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management skills including working to deadlines. Demonstrated writing skills and advanced MS Office skills. Tech savvy
