About the role
As Patron Communication Manager, you’ll lead end-to-end event communication strategies to support an outstanding customer experience across the Australian Open and major events. In this 12-month contract, you will:
Develop and implement communication strategies across pre-, during and post-event customer journeys
Lead personalised, data-driven campaigns across digital and physical channels (email, app, web, signage, SMS)
Manage cross-team collaboration to align messaging, timing and content across internal and external stakeholders
Oversee patron-facing crisis communications with timely, clear and on-brand messaging
Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, customer insights and testing
Champion consistent brand voice, messaging frameworks and tone across all customer-facing content
About you
Experience leading communication strategy for events, audiences or large-scale activations
Team management experience during peak event periods, combining leadership with hands-on delivery throughout the year
A data-informed mindset with strength in customer journey design and segmentation
Calm, confident decision-making in high-pressure or live event scenarios
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across varied teams
Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to tone, clarity and brand consistency
Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and content management platforms (Drupal beneficial)
