Operations Material Handler Metalform  LTD location Manawatu.

Within Metalform we have 6 main departments and within those departments there are several sub departments. We are looking for a highly organised, self-starting Operations Material Handler to manage and facilitate the movement of “work in progress” parts throughout the different departments in our manufacturing facility.

You will enjoy pulling parts together, creating order for our assembly teams to build from. You will not want to sit still and always be looking for a solution by taking the initiative and being proactive.

You will be a solution-driven person who can manage multiple tasks at once and be able to adapt quickly to any change in daily job requirements. As a large part of this role will be moving parts between departments so you will need to be physically fit.

You will work with every team member at Metalform so the ability to work with a variety of people with empathy and a positive attitude- whilst displaying exceptional communication skills is a must.

Previous experience work with ERP systems would be ideal but not essential however you will need an understanding of computers with an ability to pick up new systems quickly. This job provides a good balance between computer/admin and hands on physical work (forklift/ pallet jack used for heavy loads).

You thrive on being organised and organising you are process based but adaptable. You have a high level of attention to detail. You have sound computer skills. And you enjoy getting ‘stuck in’ to get the job done.
