GIS Engineer Crew Technology Recruitment location Canterbury.

Join our client’s innovative team as a GIS Engineer, where you’ll be pro-active in setting up, enhancing, and maintaining servers. In this position, you will create, implement, and refine automation workflows, data integrations, and ETL tools. Your role will involve resolving incidents, managing requests, and addressing live challenges, ensuring efficient operations and strategic preparation for future demands.

Job summary initial Fixed Term Contract for 6-months with potential for extension. Start Date: Immediately. Remote in New Zealand. Competitive annual base salary paid pro-rata for the term. Benefits included. Must have NZ working rights for the duration of the contract.

The role designing, implementing, and maintaining automation workflows, data integration processes, and ETL tools to optimize data operations. Setting up, enhancing, updating, maintaining GIS servers. Handling requests, resolving incidents, and providing application support. Proactively planning to meet schedules, delivery timelines, and ensuring management of pipelines. Creating geospatial solutions and applications using GIS software.

Skills Required 5+ years of GIS experience. Experience in geospatial technologies, with hands-on experience in GIS applications. Advanced experience with FME Form and ESRI Technology. Competence in SQL, Python, and JavaScript for spatial data management.

Demonstrated success in producing practical, high-quality results within tight deadlines. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills coupled with a collaborative team-oriented approach. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to efficiently diagnose and resolve issues. Degree in Information Technology or related field.
