What does the job look like?

As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Site Manager and assist the Day Shift Manager in running the daily operations of our site. You’ll lead a team of 6+ direct reports with a hands-on approach, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes. You’ll also be responsible for delivering high service standards to our valued customers and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation. This role is a permanent position and based in Kewdale. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of Linfox’s Safety Standards across the site
Drive compliance with company, customer, and legislative safety obligations
Promote growth and profitability through effective cost management and performance monitoring
Provide strong, hands-on leadership and direction to ensure KPIs and service targets are met
Assist the Day Shift Manager in overseeing and coordinating daily operational activities
Forge and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency strategies
Prepare accurate and timely reports to support operational performance
Are you the one?

You’ll bring a proactive mindset and a passion for operations leadership. You’ll also have:

Prior experience in transport operations (road/rail)
Strong knowledge of business and logistics practices
Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
A hands-on approach to managing people and operations
A current driver’s licence
Tertiary qualifications in Business or Logistics (desirable but not essential)
