About the role
We are seeking an experienced Manager/Senior Manager to become an integral member of our Audit & Assurance Division. This role offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of prominent clients in the property, construction, and mining industries, including working with large Chinese SOE’s. You will lead and inspire a team of dedicated auditing professionals, streamline divisional processes and procedures, and undertake complex, specialised projects. Meeting productivity and client budgets while delivering value-added services will be pivotal in this exciting position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manager of a portfolio of SW audit clients
Lead, support, and provide resources to team members for maximum performance
Plan and organise staff and resources to meet client and firm commitments
Identify and develop existing and potential business opportunities
Evaluate long-term profitability/viability of clients and act accordingly
Meet Key Firm Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as team productivity, fees, write-offs, number of new clients, work in progress and Debtors
Research, write, update and review sections of the firm’s publications
Keep up to date with the latest changes and developments in Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards and apply and share this knowledge
Coordinate training sessions for Assistant Managers, Seniors, Intermediates, and Graduates
Key Skills and Experience:
5 - 10 years’ experience working in an Assurance environment in a Chartered / CPA accounting practice
Fully qualified CA/CPA
Technical proficiency and current knowledge of auditing and accounting standards developments
Excellent client relationship management skills
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet audit deadlines for multiple clients
Strong staff leadership skills and prior experience in managing a team
Professional presentation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with audit software packages and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Proficiency in Mandarin is essential
