Your opportunity
As a Linesperson based a Hughenden, you’ll build on your highly practiced electrical skills to ensure the integrity of our LV and HV overhead powerlines and underground infrastructure for our communities.
If you're an Electrical Fitter Mechanic with skills that are transferable you maybe considered.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
Carry out maintenance (preventative, planned, unplanned), and repairs to our distribution network to ensure its ongoing reliability.
Construct and augment our distribution network to meet the changing needs of our residential and commercial customers and other stakeholders.
Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant that make up our vast distribution network.

Location Incentives:
If you’re looking to boost your Superannuation before retirement or perhaps, you’re saving to enter the property market, the following allowances will go a long way towards reaching your financial goals.
Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $27,162 per annum.
Housing Allowance – up to $11,024 per annum.
Locality Allowance – up to $3,416 per annum.
Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $10,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we’ll pay you $15,000 at each milestone.
Plus, when you decide it’s time for a well-earned break, we’ll give you an additional 5 days of annual leave per year to assist with travel to and from your chosen holiday destinations.
What you’ll bring
A Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification as an Electrical Linesperson or Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
Experience in line work preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of an electrical network.
Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency.
We’d also love you to have
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
Availability for call out and emergency work.
Willingness to travel to surrounding area from time to time to undertake work.
