The opportunity this is a newly created role designed to ensure compliant management of waste materials at the Taree Waste Management Centre. Reporting to the Regional Manager of our Lower North Coast Region you will be responsible for timely interaction with MidCoast Council, compliance with EPA regulations, and the overall management of daily activities at the Centre.

Duties and responsibilities include supervision of approximately 9 staff members including sub-contractors. Provide scheduled reports to Council. Oversee landfill development. Manage stockpile levels of metal, concrete, and green waste.

Inspections and management of site infrastructure. Testing and management of green waste composting. Effective and safe disposal of hazardous materials including asbestos.  A sound understanding and focus on safety are essential to ensure you manage daily operations adhering to best safety practice.

The opportunity is well suited to a candidate with previous experience in waste management. Candidates with experience in earthworks/ road construction are also encouraged to apply as your foundational knowledge will aid you in further development of your skills and knowledge for this role.
