Whanganui Collegiate School is an Anglican Co-educational, seven-day boarding and day school which has been providing first class education for over 168 years. We are looking for a highly energetic, empathetic, analytical, and motivated individual to join our ICT Team for 12 months.

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the support and deployment of School systems. They will be heavily involved in technology advancements, end-to-end configuration setup, fault resolution and staff onboarding.

The successful candidate will bring skills to the role that will enable them to advance School technologies in line with the Schools ICT Strategy. Manage and implement the delivery of Technology projects.

Ensuring projects are delivered on time, targets reached, and correct documentation is maintained. Best practice techniques and standards are utilised. Manage stakeholder expectations and communication.

Essential skills for the role more than 2 years experience on a variety of IT and non-IT projects. Strong IT skills across a range of technologies, and a strong ability to learn. Great work ethic and self-motivation to succeed. Experience working across multiple projects.

A drive for high quality successful delivery along with continuous process improvement. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and being able to project plan and lead. Ability to provide support and training to other staff members. Change management to ensure stability of critical systems during upgrades.

Desired skills for the role vmware. Office 365 administration. Business Analytics, PowerBI. Network experience. Experience working in Education (or similar) environment will be advantageous.
