About Hāpaitia is an independent company that provides shared services to ngā Ohu Ahumahi e ono including People and Culture, Finance, ICT, Property and Infrastructure Management, and providing a secretariat to the Board of Hāpaitia. Hāpaitia also provides a co-ordination point for many activities occurring across the Wellington and Auckland sites including karakia, mihi whakatau, kaimahi Māori co-ordination, waiata practice, and many other activities that need good coordination.

There are six Workforce Development Councils and two additional governance groups that are part of the Workforce Development Councils. One is Te Kāhui Ahumahi which is formed by the 27 Māori members of the six Councils and the other is The Fono formed by the eight Pacific members of the Councils.

As a Level 2 IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and maintaining IT infrastructure for our organization. You will be an integral part of a small and dynamic team, working in a shared services centre that supports multiple Workforce Development Councils.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, focusing on desktop support, Azure, and M365. You will utilize your expertise to address complex issues, ensure smooth operations, and deliver exceptional customer support.

Skills or experiences for the role 4+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on desktop support and cloud-based services. Excellent knowledge of Azure and M365. Strong customer support and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Microsoft certifications.

Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as mobile devices (iOS, Android). Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and other technologies is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
