IT Support Engineer Level 2 Chris O'Brien Lifehouse location Sydney.
The role the successful applicant will work with a small team of dedicated technical support specialists in a Level 2 role. This position is dynamic and will have exposure to all our technical environment with ample opportunities to learn and grow.
The role is primarily level 2 but there will be level 1 components as we are a small team. The position also works alongside Level 3 support and will help with Windows server builds and decommissioning. Further, the position looks after the organisation’s devices related to medical and technology integration.
The successful applicant will have worked with devices, mounting technology and thin client windows terminals.
You will be involved with
Be part of a small team of hands-on help desk engineers including taking support calls as well as delivering support and solutions to technical cases.
Participating in the on-call roster, after-hours call-outs are generally minimal. (extra pay applies for on-call).
Produce, evaluate and maintain sets of documents that reflect the systems that this position is responsible for. CIT device support at a software and hardware level including Printers, windows terminals, entertainment systems (medical) Nurse-call devices connecting to technology PA equipment tablet devices.
Configuring and working with Building management systems (door swipes, cameras). Implement new releases of software through our SCCM environment capturing end-user requirements, configuration, and testing of the application. Monitor and report upon the performance on systems relating to this position.
Strong and proven troubleshooting abilities. This is not an entry-level technology position and at least 3 years of working knowledge will be required by all applicants. The essential skills below are a must to be considered for this position.
Essential Skills and experiences A high level of experience with Windows 7 & 10. Sound knowledge of Office, Office 365 and Exchange online. Good knowledge of Active directory and windows group policy. Good knowledge of IP Telephony, SharePoint administration and networking technologies. Previous experience in device management, ideally supporting clinical workflow.
Experience in commissioning end-point devices including the deployment of SOE’s. Clinical grade and biomedical integration experience. Standard application implementation and troubleshooting. The ability to work independently, to take initiative and ownership of assigned work. Able to operate in an ever-changing, fasted paced, hands on technical environment. Must be based in Sydney to apply for this position with a full working visa. Must have a good record as police and other checks is required.
Desirable skills and experience previous experience working within a medical environment. Experience and an understanding of project management methodology e.g. ITIL or PRINCE2. Strong technical ability and desire to work within health technology. Imprivata knowledge and experience. Wyse/IGEL Terminals knowledge and experience. Citrix Xenapp / XenDesktop basic support. An understanding of networking knowledge including DNS and DHCP.
